Patrick  Henry Pearse was one of the seven signatories of the Easter Proclamation of 1916. Born in 1879 and executed in 1916 in Kilmainham gaol, Dublin. He was an Irish teacher, barrister, poet, writer, nationalist, republican political activist and revolutionary.
